More than anything we just want to say a huge thanks to all the total legends who voted for us in the Irish Restaurant Awards. Thanks to you we’ve made the shortlists for the best Casual Dining and Best Newcomer in Dublin City. There are so many brilliant restaurants in Dublin so we’re extremely proud to make the cut. If you’re feeling sound, we’re also gunning for the Food & Wine awards, you can vote for us here. Thanks a million, you’re only feckin’ deadly.

In other news, Spring has finally kicked into gear and the crab boats are starting to get busy again. We’ve already gotten a few loads of awesome Velvet Crabs from Lambay Island and their bigger cousins shouldn’t be too far behind, claws and all. Irish Razor Clams have come into season and have already made it onto out specials board. We’ve added Flaggy Shores to our selection of oysters. These oysters come from near the Burren and are grown in the run off of underground limestone streams, this gives them an amazing flavour. Check out this awesome video for some info about these oysters and a pretty unreal-looking recipe.

Not only are we the first in the country to stock these beautiful little oysters but this fourth oyster means we officially have the widest selection of oysters in Ireland and probably the widest selection of Irish oysters in the World. Not too shabby for a 17 seater seafood shack!
